Dr. Evelyne Knapp, Senior Researcher, ZHAW School of Engineering
Dr. Evelyne Knapp is a Senior Researcher at the ZHAW School of Engineering, where she works in the field of organic electronics and photovoltaics. Her research focuses on the characterization and simulation of emerging photovoltaic technologies, particularly perovskite solar cells, as well as machine-learning approaches for device analysis and parameter extraction.

Understanding the physical parameters that govern perovskite solar-cell performance is essential for device optimization, yet many of these parameters are difficult to determine directly from experiments.

In this talk, Evelyne will present a data-efficient, multi-objective approach to parameter extraction in perovskite solar cells. Drawing on device simulation and data-driven methods, she will show how advanced parameter-extraction techniques can accelerate device characterization and provide insight into the physical parameters governing solar-cell performance.

Dr. Matthias Diethelm, R&D Scientist, Fluxim AG
Matthias is an R&D Scientist at Fluxim with a research background in photovoltaics and optoelectronic device physics. Before joining Fluxim, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Empa and the University of Oxford, following his PhD research at EPFL and Empa. His work has covered CIGS and perovskite photovoltaics, ion-influenced optoelectronic devices, OLEDs, characterization and device simulation.
